Jazz in the Alley returns to Norcross with two performances this Saturday
Jazz in the Alley, a free, outdoor concert series touring metro Atlanta, is back at Thrasher Park in downtown Norcross this Saturday, July 25, with performances from The Human DJ and Lizzy Kay from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
As with all outdoor events in and around Atlanta, evening thunderstorms in the forecast leave some of the show to chance. Last Friday, Norcross called off its bimonthly summer concert series due to lightning in the area.

This Saturday’s two-hour jazz concert, known as The JITA Experience, features a couple of live performances. Musicians include The Human DJ, an award-winning trumpet player touring Atlanta’s top clubs, and Lizzy Kay, a hometown vocalist specializing in jazz, soul, and R&B.
“Only 5 days to go until the music fills the air at Jazz in the Alley!” the city’s announcement said. “This is the perfect way to spend a summer evening with neighbors, friends, and family. Come soak up the music, enjoy the atmosphere, and celebrate everything that makes our community so special.”

The next two Thrasher Park jazz concerts are set for Aug. 22 and Sept. 19.
The city encourages residents and visitors to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and friends, then grab dinner to-go from a food truck or one of Norcross’ local restaurants.
Jazz in the Alley kicked off in 2013 under the direction of Ziggy Warfield with a mission to share free music, local musicians, and the “joy of jazz.” Norcross is an annual sponsor. Its other concert this year was at the 3rd Annual Lawrenceville Boogie in April.
